Incorporating time with God to start your day with peace and a clear mind.
I’ve found the best way to start my morning is through quiet time with God. Its helps me prepare for the day ahead, no matter what the day has in store. It puts me in the right head space and ensures that I lean on God and talk to him throughout my day. My morning routine doesn’t always look the same. It depends on the day, how much time I have and what I have planned for the day. However, I always try to start my day with Jesus in some way. When I do have time and my mornings are slow, I love to start off my day with this morning routine.
- Wake up early
- Do not touch your phone first thing in the morning
- Play worship music as you get up, brush your teeth and fold your bed
- Dive into scripture or a devotional- I try to read at least one chapter a day with a hot cup of coffee
- Take some time to pause and sit in silence- try a breathe prayer, mediate and turn your focus to God
- Move your body for 30 minutes as an act of worship
- Go on a prayer walk
- Fuel your body with whole foods for breakfast
